Crown and The M.O.B. To Perform During July 15th ABC Broadcast
SoCal rapper Crown and his band The M.O.B. (featuring former collaborators of Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Madonna, and Dr. Dre, to name a few) have been confirmed as the house band for The 2015 ESPYS Presented by Capitol One, airing live on ABC Wednesday, July 15th, at 8 p.m. ET.
USA Today called Crown and The M.O.B. “a bright summer surprise bursting with soulful energy and charisma to spare,” while Entertainment Weekly praised Crown’s “old-school flow and modern sonic sensibility” and the “rootsy and Roots-y” style of The M.O.B.. Their debut LP ‘All Rise will be released later this summer.
Check out this incredible live performance of their “feel-good hip-hop anthem” (Yahoo! Music) "Roam" on the NYC rooftop of Relix Magazine here.
The ESPYS gather top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. The 2015 ESPYS will recognize both sport-specific achievements, such as “Best MLB Player” and “Best WNBA Player,” and best-in-sport winners, such as “Best Team” or “Best Female Athlete” that pit nominees from different sports against each other.
