New York, NY — April 15, 2026  To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Newvelle Records has partnered with Acoustic Sounds to present the Newvelle Ten Collection, a curated series of five extraordinary vinyl releases from some of the most exciting voices in contemporary jazz. Each album in the collection pairs meticulous recording and production, with striking original artwork by internationally acclaimed visual artist Ragnar Kjartansson, creating a unified experience of sound and vision that exemplifies the label’s commitment to artistry in every form.

Newvelle Records is proud to announce this collaboration with Chad Kassem and Acoustic Sounds, the world’s most respected audiophile music company. This collaboration brings together two organizations united by shared values: deep respect for musicianship, obsessive attention to sonic detail, and a belief in vinyl as a living, expressive art form.

All five releases in the series were recorded and mixed with care by Marc Urselli (and Rocky Russo on select sessions), mastered by Matthew Lutthans, and pressed at Quality Record Pressings (QRP), ensuring that the sonic quality of each release is as exceptional as the music itself. Newvelle Ten Collection represents a decade of dedication to uncompromising artistry, remarkable collaborations, and a unique vision of vinyl as a medium for immersive musical experiences.

The collection, which launched at the top of the year and continues through August, began with Martin Wind’s Stars (Jan 30), featuring a stellar quartet including Kenny Barron on piano, Anat Cohen on clarinet, and Matt Wilson on drums. With a setlist combining Wind originals and revered standards, Stars captures the warmth, spontaneity, and deep mutual respect of seasoned masters.

Ingrid Jensen’s Landings (Feb 27), a fearless group with Gary Versace (organ), Marvin Sewell (guitar), and Jon Wikan (drums), plus a guest appearance by tenor legend George Coleman. Jensen’s lyrical and adventurous trumpet lines navigate a landscape of intricate compositions and improvisational freedom, resulting in music that is vibrant, swinging, and richly textured.

Elan Mehler’s Renee Said (Mar 17) brings together a seven-piece ensemble including Loren StillmanScott RobinsonBen MonderTony ScherrMatt Wilson, and Francisco Mela. This ambitious recording balances eight originals with two covers of Paul Motian and Frank Kimbrough, capturing a completely unique band in full creative flight.

Loren Stillman’s Seer (Apr 24) features a remarkable trio with Craig Taborn on piano and Thomas Morgan on bass. Stillman’s distinctive alto and soprano saxophone voice is complemented by Taborn’s harmonic sophistication and Morgan’s lyrical depth. The result is music that is meditative, precise, and profoundly expressive—an intimate and compelling statement.

Finally, the collection closes with Skúli Sverrisson and Bill Frisell’s For All Your Flowers (Aug 1). Building on the critical success of their 2018 collaboration Strata, this duo recording finds the pair further refining a sound entirely their own. Sverrisson’s intricate bass work supports Frisell’s signature guitar voice, yielding an intimate, transformative dialogue that is both tender and expansive.

Newvelle Ten is proudly sponsored by Nordost Cables. Nordost is known worldwide for rigorous build quality and a distinct, highly resolving sound, widely respected by reviewers. All of the cabling for the recording of Newvelle Ten was supplied by Nordost.

Founded in 2015, Newvelle Records emerged from a simple but radical idea: that recorded music could once again be treated as a complete artistic object. Built around a subscription-based model, the label paired newly commissioned recordings by leading improvisers with museum-quality vinyl, original visual art, and carefully considered design, inviting listeners into a deeper, more intentional relationship with the music. From the beginning, Newvelle prioritized long-term artistic vision over market trends, fostering collaborations that emphasized trust, risk, and creative freedom. Over the past decade, the label has released a wide-ranging catalog featuring many of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz, earning international recognition for its sound quality, curatorial coherence, and commitment to honoring both artist and audience through craftsmanship, care, and community.
