Adam Hood, songwriter for Dave Cobb's Low Country Sound, and his wife Britni welcome Edith "Edie" Crawford Hood, born Thursday, July 19, in Birmingham, AL, weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. and registering 19 3/4 inches long. Edith joins big sisters Drue (Evelyn Drury), age 2, and Ashlyn, age 19.
"All is well and everyone is healthy and happy," says Hood in an Instagram post. "Thanks for all the prayers."
Hood is behind Cobb's "King of Alabama," Anderson East's "Surrender," and songs cut by Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and others.
Next Friday (7.27), Hood is releasing a song called "She Don't Love Me," a duet with his friend Brent Cobb and the lead single from his album 'Somewhere In Between,' expected in October.
