On Friday, November 4th, “rising outlaw star” (Rolling StoneAlex Williams performed a hometown set at The Vogue in Indianapolis, IN. The show celebrated the release of Williams’ deeply personal ‘Waging Peace’ (10.21 via Lightning Rod Records), performing songs from the new album, as well as old favorites from his 2017 record ‘Better Than Myself.'

‘Waging Peace’ is an album that “evokes everyone from Jerry Reed, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Allman Brothers all the way to Texas treasures Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark” (KUTX). The record marks Williams’ return to music after the trials and tribulations of the “outlaw throne” that he seemed destined to embody. On ‘Waging Peace,’ he details his journey to rock bottom — and the internal war that he fought to pull himself out of it.
