LISTEN TO “AM I ALRIGHT” HERE
Today, powerhouse duo Aly & AJ released their 80’s synth inspired track “Am I Alright,” encouraging mental health awareness in a judgement-free environment. This is the second new track off the forthcoming deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed latest album ‘a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun,’ which can be pre-ordered via Walmart HERE.
“Sometimes it’s hard to ask ourselves if we are in a healthy headspace. This song asks that question very simply without the implications of judgement getting in the way,” said Aly & AJ about the track.
The deluxe edition of the duo’s latest album also includes recent sister-track “Get Over Here” which Consequence stated it’s “a hypnotic ode to newfound love — or lust — and all the reckless urges and demands that come with it.”The deluxe album is set to drop in early 2022 ahead of their forthcoming “A Touch of The Beat” US & EU tour, which will travel to Los Angeles, New York City, London, Paris, Berlin, Chicago, San Francisco, and more. Full dates below.
‘a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun’, which dropped in May, was praised as the “feel-good album of the summer” by Vogue, “a veritable treasure trove of emotions” by NYLON, and “a triumphant return” by Line Of Best Fit. They supported the record with their debut late night TV performance (on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee) as well as opening the mainstage at Lollapalooza (named one of the “6 best things we saw at Lollapalooza 2021” by Entertainment Weekly), as well as with interviews with NPR’s Weekend Edition, Billboard, People Magazine, WNYC, Washington Post and more. They also won a VMA for “Best Comeback Song” for Potential Breakup Song for MTV’s first ever Trending: VMAs!
