Pre-Order Here

This October, Analogue Productions unveiled the definitive, speed-corrected edition of one of the best-selling jazz records ever made — Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue. Today, they turn their attention to the other: Vince Guaraldi’s timeless A Charlie Brown Christmas, newly remastered and pressed for the first time as an Ultra High Quality Record (UHQR).

Featuring all-analog mastering by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab from the original analog master tape, this UHQR edition is cut at 45 RPM, pressed on Clarity Vinyl, and limited to just 2,750 numbered copies. The result captures Guaraldi and his ever-changing cast of session players with unmatched warmth, clarity, and dimension — revealing new layers of detail in one of the most beloved jazz recordings of all time.

Timed to celebrate both the 75th anniversary of Peanuts® and the 60th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas, this release honors an album whose charm and spirit remain as enduring as the holiday itself.

Originally aired on December 9, 1965, A Charlie Brown Christmas marked producer Lee Mendelson’s second collaboration with Guaraldi, following his documentary A Boy Named Charlie Brown, for which Guaraldi originally created the theme "Linus and Lucy." For the special, Guaraldi repurposed “Linus and Lucy” alongside new original compositions “Skating” and “Christmas Time Is Here,” recorded in fall 1965 with a rotating lineup of session musicians and a children’s choir from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael, California.

Upon its original vinyl release by Fantasy Records—whose storied catalog is now managed by Craft Recordings—A Charlie Brown Christmas became an instant classic. Music critic and Rolling Stone co-founder Ralph J. Gleason praised Guaraldi in the album’s liner notes, writing, “He took his inspiration from the creations of Charles Schulz and made music that reflects that inspiration, is empathetic with the image, and is still solidly and unmistakably Vince Guaraldi.”

Six decades later, Analogue Productions brings that distinct, timeless joy to life with a UHQR edition that represents the pinnacle of vinyl craftsmanship. Each record is hand-inspected, housed in deluxe packaging, and designed to deliver every nuance of Guaraldi’s piano, the shimmer of brushed cymbals, and the warmth of the children’s choir with lifelike presence. It’s the most faithful and immersive way to experience one of the most cherished jazz albums ever recorded, and it arrives this December for listeners to enjoy like never before.
