Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration Concert Film in Theatres on November 8th
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 - Global icon Andrea Bocelli released today a re-imagined version of his beloved song 'Il mare calmo della sera’ featuring country superstar Chris Stapelton. The lead track is featured on Bocelli’s new career-spanning album Duets, celebrating his 30th anniversary in music, out today (Verve Records). Written by Zucchero, “The calm evening sea” originally served as the title track for Bocelli's 1994 debut album. This new collaboration with Chris Stapleton brings together two extraordinary voices, honoring Bocelli’s remarkable career 30 years later.
Bocelli presents his impressive collection of landmark duets with Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Sarah Brightman, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Bono, Luciano Pavarotti, Giorgia alongside new superstar collaborations freshly recorded for this special album. In addition to Chris Stapleton, Bocelli is joined by Shania Twain, Gwen Stefani, Marc Anthony, Matteo Bocelli & Hans Zimmer, Karol G, Sofia Carson, and Elisa, amongst others. Another surprise is a digital collaboration with Edith Piaf on ‘La Vie En Rose.’
“To mix voices, mix the vibrations, is for me a very exciting experience, sensual and spiritual at the same time,” said Bocelli about the new ‘Duets’ album. “Something intimate and deep is established between the two voices that sing a duet. We singers are in constant search of colleagues able to give life to this alchemy.”
The first single from Duets, titled ‘Da Stanotte in Poi (From This Moment On)’, was released this summer and features Shania Twain. The single is a stunning rework of the Queen of Country Pop’s massive hit ‘From This Moment On’. When Shania originally wrote the song, she never intended to sing it herself; she had always envisioned someone else singing it. 27 years after its original release, Shania has found the perfect partner for its interpretation, the single being sung the way it was originally planned.
Andrea Bocelli was in New York last night to celebrate the premiere of his highly anticipated concert film, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, directed by Sam Wrench (Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, Billie Eilish Live at the 02). The film will be in theatres globally on November 8. Click HERE to watch the trailer.
The film honors Andrea’s 30th anniversary in music and chronicles his three-day July concert event in Italy, featuring an unprecedented cast of global superstars, including Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Brian May, Sofia Vergara, David Foster & Katharine McPhee, Matteo Bocelli, Sofia Carson, Lauren Daigle, Eros Ramazzotti, and more, as well as special appearances by Kim & Khloe Kardashian.
Bocelli’s 30th anniversary celebration is set to continue with his annual Winter Tour. The December tour includes ten show dates in major cities across the nation, including San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Miami, as well as a return to the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City for two performances. Bocelli also recently announced new shows in February and June, including a special event in Napa Valley June 20th - 22nd. Please see below for full routing.
