Angaleena Presley Signs To Slate Creek Records

First Full Length Solo Album To Bow This Fall

Known for her role as "Holler Annie" alongside Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe in rousing Country trio the Pistol Annies, Angaleena Presley will introduce her first full-length solo project through Slate Creek Records - also home to acclaimed singer/songwriter Brandy Clark - this fall.

A native of Beauty, Kentucky - and a coal miner’s daughter to boot - Presley is one of a handful of female artists to have written, recorded, art-directed and produced her own album. “Part of what I loved about Garth Fundis and Jim Burnett at Slate Creek is that they understood where I wanted to go creatively. Producing this album was important to me because of its content - I’ve lived every word of it and knew exactly how I wanted it to sound,” she shares.

Presley was a co-writer on both Pistol Annie records and is known for her edgy writing style and raw, unapologetic delivery. Songwriting Hall of Fame Member, Mark D. Sanders describes her this way: “If Loretta Lynn and John Prine had a baby, it would be Angaleena Presley.”

"We could not be happier about Angaleena joining our Slate Creek team and giving us the opportunity to release her remarkable solo debut,” offers Slate Creek’s President & Creative Director, Garth Fundis. “From the first listen, we knew we wanted to be a part of this and can hardly wait for others to hear what she has created. Angaleena is both poet and artist in the truest sense of those words."

Angaleena’s album title, track listing and release date are forthcoming.
