Angie McMahon has unveiled a new visual for her cathartic, heavy-hitting tell-off anthem “Missing Me,” a standout track from her upcoming debut album Salt out later this year on Dualtone Records. The lighthearted visual piece, featuring hand-written lyrics and stick figure drawings projected onto serene landscapes, perfectly encapsulates the song’s raw emotion, sublime arrangements and candid vulnerability. Angie has said “‘Missing Me’ is about releasing all that punchy sass and angst that bubbles under the surface when somebody isn’t listening to you, or they’re letting you down, or breaking your heart.”
The “Missing Me” visual is the latest in a long line of exciting recent developments for the young Australian singer-songwriter. McMahon released the first songs from her critically-praised A Couple of Songs EP in March before taking home the Grulke Prize for Best Developing International Artist at SXSW, an honor previously given to Jade Bird, Courtney Barnett, and CHVRCHES.
