Anticipation Builds as Prince Celebration Reveals Full 10th Anniversary “Celebration of Life” Programming

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — May 14, 2026 – Today, Prince Celebration announces the full schedule for its 10th Anniversary “Celebration of Life,” set to take place June 3–7, 2026, across Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis. Marking a decade since Prince’s passing, this year’s Celebration stands as one of the most expansive and emotionally resonant gatherings to date, bringing together fans, collaborators, and artists from around the world for five days of music, storytelling, and community.

Program highlights include a historic, once-in-a-lifetime first onstage reunion of members of The Revolution and The New Power Generation, with Bobby Z and Lisa Coleman joining Morris Hayes, Tony M, Levi Seacer, Sonny T, Queen Cora Coleman, Cassandra O’Neal, Greg Boyer, Mike Phillips, Kenni Holmen and vocalists Liv Warfield, Ashley Tamar and The Twins, all who worked and performed with the Purple One. Special guest performances throughout the week include Chaka Khan, Morris Day, Miguel, Tevin Campbell, Bilal, Kat Graham, Sounds of Blackness and more.

“This year’s Celebration honors Prince’s extraordinary musical genius yet more importantly, it honors his spirit, humanity, and love that defined his life,” says L. Londell McMillan, Prince’s former attorney, manager, and friend. “Ten years later, his music continues to unite people across generations and around the world, but what feels especially important right now is creating space for community, healing, joy, and reflection, values Prince carried with him every day. We’re especially grateful to the artists, musicians, and collaborators who worked closely with Prince throughout his life and career will come together to celebrate him in such a meaningful way. This Celebration is designed to capture not only the brilliance of his artistry, but also the tremendous heart and soul behind it all.”

Additional programming includes appearances by Purple Rain Musical leads Kris Kollins and Rachel Webb, as well as the New Artist Showcase, spotlighting emerging talent inspired by Prince’s legacy. Special guests across the week include Bootsy Collins, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and The Twins.

Throughout the Celebration, attendees will experience exclusive presentations of unreleased music and rare archival concert content, offering deeper insight into Prince’s creative process and legendary vault. The programming will also feature a series of intimate, historic conversations and panels with legendary artists and collaborators who helped shape Prince’s world and the broader musical landscape, including exclusive one-on-one conversations with Bootsy Collins, Morris Day, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as well as panels: “Women of Prince’s Musical Legacy” and “Next 10 Years – Vault & Future Plans.” 

Signature events include the return of the Downtown Block Party at the Prince mural, featuring a free, all-ages community sing-along presented as part of the annual Prince Celebration and in ongoing partnership with the City of Minneapolis, led by musical director Sanford Moore and a 100-person choir, with thousands expected to gather for a citywide tribute to Prince’s music. The event will take place Saturday, June 6 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at 101 North 9th Street in downtown Minneapolis, the day before what would have been Prince’s 68th birthday.

The Celebration will also feature a DJ Dance Kickoff at First Avenue with DJ Lenka Paris and special guest Chaka Khan, plus Club 3121 Celebration & Jam Session with DJ Rashida, with special performances by Liv Warfield, Ashley Tamar, with additional surprise musical guests (just the way Prince did it!). Throughout the weekend, Paisley Park’s gates will be open wide for expanded Open House experiences designed to immerse fans in Prince’s music, storytelling, interactive exhibits, and community spaces across the NPG Music Club and outdoor festival grounds.

New for 2026, the Celebration will also mark the debut of the new Paisley Park app (available on Apple App Store & Google Play), offering attendees real-time schedule updates, exclusive content, and event information throughout the week.

Inspired by Prince’s lifelong commitment to community and his “Love 4 One Another” philosophy, this year’s programming places a strong emphasis on healing, remembrance, unity, and direct support for Minneapolis neighborhoods and local businesses. Expanding beyond music, the Celebration will feature citywide community activations, memorial visits, local arts and business initiatives, food drives, youth mental health initiatives, and a refreshed “Purple Path,” connecting landmarks across Minneapolis into a unified fan journey honoring Prince’s enduring legacy.

Community initiatives throughout the week will include the Eat Street Initiative encouraging support of independently owned restaurants and small businesses, coordinated Purple Family engagement throughout key neighborhoods, and memorial visits honoring George Floyd, Renee Good, and Alex Pretti. Additional opportunities throughout the week will encourage attendees to participate in reflection, remembrance, healing, and direct community support throughout Minneapolis.

Prince Celebration 2026 will also spotlight Prince Legacy’s Youth Mental Health Initiative, focused on supporting creative expression and arts-based healing opportunities for young people. Paisley Park will additionally host an onsite food drive throughout the Celebration weekend supporting local community organizations and families in need. Additional wellness-focused programming includes Maya McClean’s “Awakening” sound healing experience at Paisley Park.
