A critically acclaimed collection of glittering synth-pop bops, a journey as an empowered independent artist, recent viral successes on TikTok, and triumphs as a nightlife curator have led Brooklyn’s Ariana and the Rose to her late night TV debut yesterday evening on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Ariana brought her sonically hypnotic ode to unity on the dancefloor “Every Body” to the stage, ushering in the next era for one of indie-pop’s most exciting breakthrough artists.

A vocal LGBTQ+ ally and proponent for inclusivity, Ariana created “Every Body” as a love letter to the people and communities that nurtured her and made room for her art throughout her career – asserting through the track’s addictive hook of “This dance floor is for every body” that everyone is welcome in the world of Ariana and the Rose.

Last night’s performance on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee follows previous acclaim for “Every Body” and its star-studded music video. Billboard called “Every Body” a “thumping, dark electro pop raver” while Paper Magazine said it’s “an electric invitation to the dance floor”. The video includes a resume of nightlife & NYC/LA art world legends including, (in alphabetical order) Amanda Lepore, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Cakes Da Killa, CT Hedden, The Dragon Sisters, Kandy Muse, Laith Ashley, Love Bailey, Madison Rose, Marizol, Merlot, Rhea Litre, Rify Royalty, Ryan Burke, Spencer Ludwig, & Zero Waste Daniel.

Last year Ariana and the Rose also released the cheeky “London Boys”, a collab with rapper Cakes Da Killa and a hard-thumping electro dance-tinged siren song which finds the "technicolored synthpop powerhouse" (NYLON) calling out to her suitors with deliciously seductive spitfire.

She also found fame during the pandemic via TikTok when a video of a piano-assisted spoken word piece she posted earned an astounding 8 million views on the social media platform in less than a week. The video gained extra exposure when it was shared by the likes of Betches (via Instagram), NYT best-selling author Meena Harris & Tony-nominated actress Laura Benanti. She found further success on TikTok when another spoken word piece went viral being used by over 11k followers including Alyssa Milano and Girlboss

“Every Body” and “London Boys” are the latest music releases from an artist that has previously earned additional acclaim from Consequence of Sound, Vice, Time Magazine, Refinery 29, LOGO, and more. They are also a taste of the next era for the multi-hyphenate powerhouse who has more music on the horizon. Additionally, Ariana and the Rose is the curator of the immersive music and art party “light + space” which has had numerous events across Manhattan & Brooklyn (including a residency at House Of Yes), as well as one-off performances in LA and (of course) London. Ariana is set to perform in NYC on March 3 at Soho House as part of International Women’s Month as well as in LA for Live Nation’s Breaking Sound series on March 12 at the Peppermint Club, with more dates to follow!
