For the fourth year in a row, ASCAP Lab (ASCAP's multi-pronged innovation initiative) and the NYC Media Lab (NYCML) are launching a start-up challenge in partnership with NYU's Tandon School of Engineering.
This year's challenge - the Music and AI Challenge - is designed to identify creative, cutting-edge concepts at the intersection of music and artificial intelligence.
The first info session will be tomorrow, Jan 18th, at 12pm ET. Click here to RSVP: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/info-session-nyc-media-lab-ascap-challenge-music-and-ai-tickets-493816487407
Submissions are now open for startups and university teams to apply with their ideas. These ideas should leverage artificial intelligence to build products that offer novel solutions for the music industry that ultimately benefit music creators.
Five teams/startups will be selected, and those selected will meet weekly (typically via video conference) with NYCML and ASCAP Lab team members to present progress and receive feedback in a cohort-based setting.
