ASCAP I Create Music Expo In The Round: Ashley Gorley, Cassadee Pope, Matt Jenkins And Jon Nite At The Bluebird Cafe—Feb 13

NASHVILLE, Jan. 28, 2019 -- Four of ASCAP's most renowned Nashville music creators will be on hand to share music and stories from their experiences at the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO on February 13 in a special evening at the Bluebird Café in Nashville. The inaugural ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO In The Round concert will include EXPO “alumni” six-time ASCAP Country Songwriter of the Year Ashley Gorley, chart-topping country artist Cassadee Pope, multi-time #1 songwriter Matt Jenkins (Florida Georgia Line, Dustin Lynch, Blake Shelton) and upcoming 2019 ASCAP EXPO panelist and CMA/ACM award-winner Jon Nite.

Gorley, Pope and Jenkins have all been featured guests at ASCAP’s “I Create Music” EXPO in the past, and will share their transformative experiences from the event in conversation with ASCAP Membership host Mike Sistad. Later in the evening, as the audience hears Ashley Gorley sharing secrets behind his 38 #1 hits, or Cassadee Pope pulling back the curtain on her first album in five years, 'Stages,' it will serve as a thrilling sample of the full ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO experience to come in Los Angeles this May.

Ashley Gorley said, “I’ve always loved to mentor and coach songwriters — to actually be there and offer feedback, to offer advice that may help them cut the time it takes to succeed. That opportunity is what I look forward to most about coming back to the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO year after year, and I couldn’t be more excited to share those experiences with my hometown music community in Nashville.”

This year's ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO takes place May 2 - 4, 2019 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Previous keynote speakers and panelists have included Stevie Wonder, Meghan Trainor, Quincy Jones, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Tom Petty. Attendees of the Bluebird event will receive an exclusive 48-hour registration discount.

Entering its 14th year, the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO is the largest conference of its kind in North America, attracting over 3,000 music creators for three days of panels, workshops, master classes, keynotes and one-on-one sessions with the industry’s top hitmakers. It is the only music conference completely dedicated to music creation and what it takes to be a professional music creator today. ASCAP EXPO panelists participate because they want to give back to the next generation, and the feeling of community and giving back is authentic, infectious and inspirational. Many who come to the EXPO walk away saying that it is a life-changing experience.

About ASCAP

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a professional membership organization of songwriters, composers and music publishers of every kind of music. ASCAP's mission is to license and promote the music of its members and foreign affiliates, obtain fair compensation for the public performance of their works and to distribute the royalties that it collects based upon those performances. ASCAP members write the world's best-loved music and ASCAP has pioneered the efficient licensing of that music to hundreds of thousands of enterprises who use it to add value to their business - from bars, restaurants and retail, to radio, TV and cable, to Internet, mobile services and more. The ASCAP license offers an efficient solution for businesses to legally perform ASCAP music while respecting the right of songwriters and composers to be paid fairly. With more than 690,000 members representing more than 11.5 million copyrighted works, ASCAP is the worldwide leader in performance royalties, service and advocacy for songwriters and composers, and the only American performing rights organization (PRO) owned and governed by its writer and publisher members.
