Barbershop Harmony Society’s A Better World Singing Day Will Be Held July 9

On Saturday, July 9, the Barbershop Harmony Society 2016 International Convention (July 3-10) hosts A Better World Singing Day, an all-day musical celebration offering families the opportunity to make music together while enjoying free shows at Walk of Fame Park. The day includes activities and performances at First Baptist Church on Broadway, Music City Center, and Bridgestone Arena.

"We believe that music belongs to everyone," says Society CEO Marty Monson. "This is not just a sit-and-listen day - we can help you make the music and reclaim your right to sing for fun."

The celebration highlights 6,000+ talented performers from around the world who have shown off their skills throughout the week, competing and performing together in a family-friendly festival of this uniquely American art form.

From learning how to sing at the Harmony University, to joining an old-fashioned Gospel choir, to simply enjoying an afternoon of free performances, there's something for everyone. All events will be free of charge, with the exception of the World Harmony Jamboree and the Quartet Finals. The day's schedule can be found below, and reservations for free tickets can be made here: barbershop.org/nashville/a-better-world-singing.
