Last week, Black Pumas – in partnership with Colors x Studios – released a new live session performance of “OCT 33.” Set across the Colors x Studios backdrop, Eric Burton delivers a stunning solo performance that exemplifies why KCRW’s Best New Artist of 2019 “radiates soul at a wattage that may not be exactly street legal.” Watch here:https://youtu.be/susrNWvSsj8

Since the June 2019 release of their “perfectly realized” (The Guardian) self-titled debut album on ATO Records, Black Pumas have emerged as a live powerhouse thanks to their “acutely cinematic” (Pitchfork) soul-steeped sound and frontman Eric Burton’s “tireless, charismatic energy” (Rolling Stone).
The band’s hit single "Colors" has racked up over 20 million streams and been Shazamed 250k times, and the band's incredible live video of the song went viral with over 12 million views to date. In 2019, Black Pumas performed "Colors" on Jimmy Kimmel Live, following their network TV debut on CBS This Morning. “Colors” is currently Top 5 on AAA Radio, and is at the center of a new Bank Of America ad.
Black Pumas just added a 4th show (May 11th) at Stubb’s Amphitheatre in Austin after selling out consecutive dates on May 8th, 9th, and 10th. Earlier this month, the band announced performances at Coachella and Newport Folk Festival. They are currently on the road, and many shows are already sold out. Full dates below.
