Chances are you probably know Bob the Drag Queen from one of his viral, thought-provoking, and/or just straight-up hilarious onscreen moments. Today, the drag legend and NY Times Best-Selling author takes matters into his own hands and launches Purse First Studios, a creative production company with a variety of forthcoming projects like none you’ve seen before.
With the studio launch comes the first monthly digital show The Big Questionon the Purse First Studios’ YouTube, where each episode he interviews friends, colleagues, fellow comedians, and even strangers the confounding questions we all have been wondering (and some maybe we haven’t thought of yet). To tease the series, the first episode has just debuted asking the question “Why do black people hate musicals?”

Purse First Studios will soon launch Back In My Day where the mic will be handed to queer elders for them to share and reflect on their lives, the evolution of queer culture, and what things were like “back in their day.”
Additional launches coming soon include exclusive stand-up specials, weekly podcasts, a morning show, a pop culture roundup, as well as live events and much more.
"Purse First Studios has so many amazing projects coming up,” shared Bob with Variety.“I've lived so much of my career in front of the camera, now I want to show you what I can do behind the scenes as well."
