Bob The Drag Queen Drops Comedy Album Woke Man In A Dress

October 13, 2023 - Today, Bob The Drag Queen has released an audio recording of his stand-up special Woke Man In A Dress. Drawing from his experience as a black queer person growing up in the South and his new-found celebrity, Woke Man In A Dress is a hilarious and heartfelt statement from one of the comedy world’s most inventive performers.

Speaking about the special, Bob commented: “I love that comedians are now making our own specials. The most important factor in a comedy special is. . . IS IT FUNNY?!?!?! and the answer is. . . I'm hilarious" 

Bob has become a Peabody Award/GLAAD Media Award/ Television Academy Honors-winning artist for his work on HBO’s We’re Here, a musician who dropped his debut EP ‘Gay Barz’, an acclaimed podcaster for his show Sibling Rivalry with his drag sister Monét X Change, and will serve as a special guest on Madonna’s upcoming “The Celebration Tour”. He has also been spotlighted by NBC as one of their “Pride 30” spotlighting “drag performers who made herstory”, performed at the Outside Lands music festival, chatted with NPR’s Ari Shapiro for an episode of All Things Considered, and made a guest speaking appearance on a virtual panel with MoMA earlier this year.
