Bob The Drag Queen Partners With Big Mouth-Director For “BOOTY”

Hilarious Video For Drag Icon’s Rap Ode To The Derrière

OUT NOW - WATCH HERE

With his debut EP ‘GAY BARZ’ (which dropped earlier this year), Bob the Drag Queen proved his musical prowess, especially on highlight track “BOOTY”. A spitfire and deliciously irreverent rap song about the drag superstar’s love of the titular body part, “BOOTY” is a shining example of his prowess on the mic.

Today, he partners with illustrator and Big Mouth-episodic director Alex Sayler on the music video for “BOOTY”. With a cheeky cameo from his drag sister drag sister Monét X Change, “BOOTY” is a lush, hilarious visual fever dream of an ode to the derrière. Watch HERE and get ready to laugh your booty off.

"My love for animation goes WAY back,” says Bob The Drag Queen about the music video. “It's such a remarkable skill set. Sam Garfield [track producer] gave me a great beat and Alex Salyer just ATE THIS ANIMATION."

Salyer added: "Bob loves booty, I love booty… and I’ve animated tons of booty in my career so this collaboration felt like a match made in heaven! Bob came to me with a clear vision of what he wanted but also pushed me to pitch my own gags and ideas as we went along. In the end it really feels like our own little cartoon baby that combines both of our senses of humor. Bob thinks like a cartoonist in that he has this ability to visualize surreal imagery, and explain it so clearly."

The alter ego of non-binary comic/actor Caldwell Tidicue, Bob The Drag Queen is a modern comedy and pop culture icon. After being catapulted to worldwide success by winning the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Bob has become a Peabody Award/GLAAD Media Award/ Television Academy Honors-winning artist for his work on HBO’s We’re Here, an acclaimed podcaster for his show Sibling Rivalry with Monét X Change, and will serve as a special guest spot on Madonna’s upcoming “The Celebration Tour”. He dropped his new standup special Woke Man In A Dress last month, was recently spotlighted by NBC as one of their “Pride 30” spotlighting “drag performers who made herstory”, chatted with NPR’s Ari Shapiro for an episode of All Things Considered, and made a recent guest speaking appearance on a virtual panel with MoMA.
