Bon Iver has announced three special Wisconsin performances in partnership with the 46 for 46 campaign. In early October during the lead-up to the 2020 election, the band will play the cities of La Crosse, Wausau, and Appleton for the first time ever. Fans must pledge to vote in order to gain access to presale tickets for all three shows before they go onsale to the public this Friday, February 21st.
Presale tickets will be available on Wednesday, February 19th, at 10am CST at boniver.org/tour
Political analysts and pundits have been citing Wisconsin as the state that could decide it all in 2020. The Dairy State went red in 2016 for the first time in a presidential election since 1984, and it was by less than 1%. With these shows, Bon Iver hopes to bring more fans into the political process, increase voter turnout and civic action to help elect a new President, and show the rest of the country that Wisconsin can still live up to its rich progressive history.
Wisconsin's Presidential Primary Election is on Tuesday, April 7th. Wisconsin votes with the rest of the country on November 3rd for President.
Bon Iver's shows are just three of the 46 the campaign has planned to take place nationwide during the 2020 general election.
46 for 46 is harnessing the power of music to help elect the 46th President of the United States by increasing civic action among musicians and fans through concerts and organizing. For more information, please visit 46for46.org
