Friday, July 25 – Abandoned at five years old and surviving a terminal cancer diagnosis by 28, singer-songwriter Miist defied the odds when she discovered her musical gift at 34 and last year, became the 1st native Chinese artist to break into Billboard’s Top 25 AC chart.
Today, Miist shares a powerful new single and music video for “The Bruises Won't Ever Understand” ahead of National Love Is Kind Day on Sunday, July 27 honoring the freedom and independence of domestic violence survivors. “I needed to share my personal experience on this difficult subject,” Miist says. “I hope it helps those who listen to it.” It is from an upcoming project to be released later this year.
