Brooklyn Bowl, the acclaimed NYC nightlife destination hailed by Rolling Stone as "one of the most incredible places on earth," is set to launch its first UK outpost on 16 Jan at The O2 in London.
The 800-capacity concert venue will feature 12 lanes of bowling - three of which are elevated in a private party area with its own bar - and food by the famed Bromberg Bros. Blue Ribbon Restaurants.
It will celebrate its grand opening weekend with three nights of performances by the Brooklyn Bowl All-star Players - a collective of Brooklyn's finest funk and soul musicians from Antibalas, Lettuce and Soulive. The London venue will launch with a show-stopping party to coincide with the Brooklyn Nets playing the Atlanta Hawks on January 16th. Offering VIP guests a taste of what happens over in Williamsburg.
"When thinking of another city that's as influential on global culture as New York, there's only one that immediately stands out," said Brooklyn Bowl owner Peter Shapiro, "and that, of course, is London. We're thrilled to be bringing the Bowl's unique and multi-pronged vibe to what really is the most important city in the world."
The venue will mark the first time Blue Ribbon has operated outside of the US, bringing its signature menu including Oyster Po' Bos, Cajun Catfish, French Bread Pizzas, Egg Shooters, and of course their world-renowned Fried Chicken. In addition, the bar will feature beers from the local Meantime Brewing Company.
"The food we cook at the Bowl is all about great times and great tastes. We were able to bring our entire menu from Brooklyn and find local suppliers to source the freshest ingredients," added Blue Ribbon Co-Owner, and partner in Brooklyn Bowl, Bruce Bromberg.
