Burt Bacharach and Daniel Tashian are this week's guests on the Broken Record podcast, where the duo discuss their collaborative new release Blue Umbrella and the roots of their cross-generational, cross-country songwriting partnership. During their conversation, Bacharach - the three-time Academy Award-winning music legend - details what it is about Tashian that makes writing together so special and what goes into one of his iconic compositions. Tashian, a 2019 GRAMMY Album of The Year winner for his work on Kacey Musgraves' Golden Hour, discussed spending time with Bacharach in Los Angeles immediately after his award wins, and the process of putting his stunning vocals on top of these new original songs.
