'Out Of Focus,' a new documentary following "one of America's best singer-songwriters" (Rolling Stone) and musical renaissance man Butch Walker, will premiere in September with a joint concert & screening tour kicking off 9/5 in Atlanta. Produced by Salome Breziner and directed by Peter Harding and Shane Valdés, the film has already won numerous awards, including Best Documentary at the Nashville Film Festival, and will premiere on digital and cable VOD 9/17 via GoDigital. See below for tour dates, several of which will be preceded by screenings of the documentary at nearby theaters, and check out the trailer here: http://butchwalkeroutoffocus.com/
'Out Of Focus' offers a rare glimpse into the world of one of today's most versatile musical talents. Walker's latest album, 'The Spade,' debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and earned raves from EW to Rolling Stone. In addition to his prolific work as a recording artist, Walker has produced major hits and written songs for some of the biggest names in music today, including Pink, Train, Weezer, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, Keith Urban, and more. He was named Producer of the Year by Rolling Stone and performed alongside Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks at The Grammys. He also released his first book, 'Drinking with Strangers,' a collection of behind-the-scenes tales from his life in music, via William Morrow, a division of Harper Collins, in 2011.
"As filmmakers and fans of Butch Walker, we wanted to introduce the man behind the music to the world, while also creating a whole new set of fans," explained Shane Valdés, Peter Harding, and Salomé Breziner in a joint statement.
Stay tuned for more details on the film and new music from Butch.
