Oxford Pennant - the Buffalo-based designer and manufacturer of vintage memorabilia for the modern fan - was featured on CBS Saturday Morning over the weekend. Founded in 2013 by Dave Horesh and Brett Mikoll, two friends who bonded over their unlikely love of quality wool pennants and banners from the early/mid 20th century, Oxford Pennant has grown into an “underdog company of weirdos” with a staff of 57 and millions in revenue.
Oxford Pennant aims to bring back authentic, old-school, all-American manufacturing with hands-on techniques, updated technology, and an abundance of research and imagination. This year alone, Oxford Pennant has collaborated with The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Sesame Street, the National Hockey Leagueand others to create one-of-a-kind capsule collections. They can also customize pennants, flags and other items for literally any occasion.
“At its core, the most important part of this company is its creativity,” co-founder Dave Horesh explained to CBS’ Jeff Glor, who visited Oxford Pennant’s 15,000 square-foot factory in Downtown Buffalo.
