Today (4.17), “old school country crooner” (HollerCole Goodwin captures the quiet unraveling of love on “Where She’s Coming From,” a slow-burning country ballad detailing the moment when emotional distance turns into an irreversible breaking point. Driven by a gentle waltz and layered with pedal steel and fiddle, the track – written by Goodwin alongside Erik Dylan (Riley Green, Gavin Adcock) and Wyatt McCubbin (Luke Combs, Zac Brown Band) and produced by Ryan Youmans (Hudson Westbrook, Muscadine Bloodline) – finds him lingering in the hollow space love once filled, understanding what’s been lost but not ready to let it go.

“I wrote ‘Where She’s Coming From’ with Wyatt McCubbin and Erik Dylan, and it honestly kind of just fell in our laps," said Goodwin. “I had the hook for it in my notes for a while, and I just tossed it out in the room after we had already finished one song that morning, and ended up writing it in no more than an hour. I love the timeless feel of the song and the simple but powerful lyrics. I hope fans will enjoy this song and appreciate its traditional feeling melodies.”

Goodwin’s new track follows “Howdy” (3.6), a playful, pick-up line set to music that showcases his knack for what Country Central calls “country music done right.” Influenced by genre greats like Hank Jr., Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings – as well as unexpected influences like AC/DC and even his own mother, who he watched perform growing up – the Pooler, GA-raised singer-songwriter is quickly winning fans with his honest, heartfelt lyricism. His catalog highlights his textured vocals and an unmistakable sound that balances classic country tradition with modern storytelling, as heard on songs like “Messin’ With My Mind,” “Dust On The Dancefloor” and “Girlfriend’s Got A Boyfriend.”

Fans can catch Goodwin live on select dates of Zach Top’s Cold Beer & Country Music Tour, Vincent Mason’s There I Go Tour, Dierks Bentley’s Off the Map Tour and more. He’s also slated to perform at major festivals including Country Thunder Florida, Rock the South, Tailgate N’ Tallboys, and was recently announced for CMA Fest’s Wrangler Remix Stage. Previously, he toured extensively across the Southeast, opening for artists including Luke Bryan and Conner Smith, among others.
