COMEDY DYNAMICS ACQUIRES DOCUMENTARY FEATURE POOP TALK AT TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

LOS ANGELES, CA – Continuing the company’s aggressive expansion into the theatrical feature space, Comedy Dynamics announced today, after a competitive bidding situation, it has acquired theatrical and worldwide distribution rights for Poop Talk. A comedic documentary about experiences with poop as discussed by Kumail Nanjiani, Nicole Byer, Adam Carolla, Rob Corddry, Nikki Glaser, Pete Holmes, Jonah Ray, Jordan Rubin, Eric Stonestreet, Randy and Jason Sklar, Nick Swardson, Dr. Drew Pinsky, and many more. The film was produced by Sammi Edelson and directed by Aaron Feldman.

Poop Talk is an open and honest look at a taboo topic in today’s society: poop. Considered to be this generation’s The Aristocrats, the documentary gives an inside look at all-things poop, from uncensored, embarrassing moments to scientific explanations recounted by 50 experts and comedians, including Kumail Nanjiani, Nicole Byer, Adam Carolla, Rob Corddry, Nikki Glaser, Pete Holmes, Jonah Ray, Jordan Rubin, Eric Stonestreet, Randy and Jason Sklar, Nick Swardson, Dr. Drew Pinsky and many others. It’s an authentic and hysterical exploration into how we as a society deal with poop and what it reveals about who we are.

“Poop Talk allows those who are both comfortable and uncomfortable to sit back and be entertained by some of the best in the business talking about something that everyone knows a little bit about. We set out to make something lighthearted but informative and are excited to share it with the world," said Sammi Edelson.

Comedy Dynamics will release the film theatrically into New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other markets in conjunction with a worldwide VOD release in early 2018. The film was directed by Aaron Feldman, produced by Sammi Edelson and executive produced by Party of 7 Entertainment, Bobby Stewart, Randy and Jason Sklar, and Jordan Rubin. The film screened successfully at The Lower East Side Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Audience Award. The deal was negotiated by Preferred Content and WME on behalf of the filmmakers.

“Poop Talk is going to be an instant comedy classic film like The Aristocrats before it. We are very excited to be a part of this film which will be laughed at and loved for generations to come,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of The Nacelle Company.

Comedy Dynamics, a Nacelle company, is one of the largest independent comedy production and distribution companies, producing Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History for History, Animal Planet’s Animal Nation with Anthony Anderson, the new scripted comedy on Seeso, There’s… Johnny!, History’s Join Or Die with Craig Ferguson, MTV2’s Wild ’N On Tour, and Hulu’s Coming To The Stage.
