"Comic To Watch" Kurt Braunohler To Host The A2IM LIBBY Awards in NYC, 6.19

Comedy Central, Variety and Time Out New York's “comic to watch” Kurt Braunohler takes on hosting duties for the third annual Libera awards (LIBBYs) celebrating the successes of independent music labels and artists on Thursday, June 19 at NYC’s Highline Ballroom.

Kurt is an indie artist himself, whose debut album “How Do I Land?” (Kill Rock Stars) was named a “top comedy album of 2013” by The Onion AV Club. He’s appeared as a guest on Chelsea Lately and recently starred in a Funny or Die video with Real Estate. On his hosting duties Kurt said, "I'm so excited to host the LIBBYs. I can't wait to meet all my favorite indie labels and make awkward small talk backstage.”

Capping A2IM’s Indie Week, the LIBBY Awards party is a night of independent music pride as the industry’s independent leaders come together to celebrate their peers. Vampire Weekend, William Onyeabor, Glassnote Records and Ghostly International are just a few of the nominees up for awards including Album of the Year and Label of the Year.

A2IM’s third annual Libera Awards are sponsored by Caroline, ADA, Beats Music, INgrooves, The Orchard, YouTube, A to Z Media, Silva Screen Music Group, and Bandzoogle.
