More Evenings of Songs and Stories

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Legendary artist Graham Nash, as a founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash, is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. He has seen rock history unfold at some of its seminal moments – from the launch of the British Invasion to the birth of the Laurel Canyon movement a year later. An extraordinary Grammy Award® winning renaissance artist – and self-described “simple man” – Nash was inducted twice into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, for his work with CSN and his work as a solo artist. Towering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his long and multi-faceted career, stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of our lives for nearly six decades.

Daryl Hall

With Special Guest Glenn Tilbrook

Thursday, July 17

[Doors: 6:00pm / Show: 7:30pm]

Daryl Hall is a modern-day renaissance man, an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the star of his very own award-winning web series, Live from Daryl’s House, as well as a successful venue owner with “Daryl’s House,” a restored venue and live music space in Pawling, N.Y. The Philadelphia soul man is still achieving career milestones more than four decades later, continuing to perform with his band to sold out venues everywhere. Daryl released his sixth solo album, D, on Virgin Music Group on June 21, co-produced by one-time Eurythmics member and fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Stewart, who co-wrote seven of the nine new original songs with Hall penning the other two on his own.

Daryl Hall has come a long way, and he’s still got plenty of mileage left in a career that’s taken him from the streets of Philadelphia to the halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The best is yet to come.

Andrew Dice Clay and Jon Lovitz

Friday, July 18

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Andrew Dice Clay is proud to be one of America's most controversial and outrageous comics. Quite simply, Dice is a Rock and Roll comedy legend. When he released his debut album, Dice, the parental advisory label simply read “Warning: This album is offensive.”

Despite media backlash, Dice’s rise to fame was nothing less than meteoric, creating “Dicemania.” He’s sold-out hundreds of arenas all across the country and was the only performer ever “Banned for Life from MTV” (a ban which has since been lifted). In recent years, Dice’s career has experienced a resurgence including his recurring role on the final season of Entourage (2011). He is now in discussions with production companies to take these videos to television.

About Jon Lovitz:

Jon Lovitz has been one of the best known comedians for the last thirty years. He was nominated for an Emmy his first two years on Saturday Night Live. Jon is one of the few performers to start as an actor and then become a successful stand-up comedian who has headlined nightclubs, theatres, and casinos in Las Vegas, Canada and across the country, since 2003.

Jerry Daze Between: Leftover Salmon & Keller Williams Grateful Grass

With Kendall Street Company at Garcia's

Saturday, August 2

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

About Leftover Salmon:

Few bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. Since their earliest days as a forward thinking, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly, unique style.

About Keller Williams:

"Loose interpretations of Grateful Dead songs done in a bluegrass style. Take my fascination with Grateful Dead songs and mix it together with my love of psychedelic improvisational bluegrass music and out burps this project. If you like your Grateful Dead songs performed in their original way, or if you prefer traditional bluegrass, this is not the project for you. If you like singing along to Dead songs in that song’s normal tempo but dancing double time to the music, this is definitely your jam. Keller’s Grateful Grass delivers anything-but-traditional bluegrass versions of Grateful Dead favorites.

WFUV Presents: Rilo Kiley

with Natalie Bergman

About Rilo Kiley:

After a long absence, Rilo Kiley—Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Jason Boesel, and Pierre “Duke” de Reeder—are back, with arms outstretched. Rilo Kiley was born from hunger, from the insatiable desire to write one’s own story. The band’s origins can be traced back to Los Angeles in the late 1990s, when Jenny Lewis and Blake Sennett discovered a shared songwriting obsession and began performing together. After some starts and stops, a band was formed with Pierre “Duke” de Reeder playing bass. They called themselves Rilo Kiley, borrowing a name that came to Sennett in a dream.

About Natalie Bergman:

When you listen to Natalie Bergman, it sounds like she just stepped out of a dream. Coming into focus, her heavenly vocals flutter across dusty soundscapes perfectly suited to the grooves of vintage vinyl or the booming speakers of a festival stage. She transfixes with the intimacy of a soul siren, the provocation of a poet, the je ne sais quoi of a sad femme fatale, and the world-weary wisdom of a loving and strong mother. The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer taps into relatable experiences, while evoking expansive inspiration.

The Revivalists

With Nolan Taylor

Monday, September 22

Eight-piece rock 'n' roll collective The Revivalists have made the journey from hole-in-the-wall gigs to sold-out shows at hallowed venues, multiplatinum success, more than 800 million streams and major media praise. Their fifth album, Pour It Out Into The Night (Concord Records) is a life-affirming album about living in the moment, fueled by lessons in gratitude and life realizations. As the world came to a standstill in the years since their last album, Take Good Care, personal experiences and life challenges abounded, with band members having their first children, getting married, and navigating the mental hurdles of lockdown. Renowned for their live prowess, soulful alt-rock anthems, distinct mix of many of the classic styles of American music, and outward generosity through their philanthropic Rev Causes initiative, The Revivalists broke through with 2015's Men Amongst Mountains, which featured the double-platinum smash single and Billboard Hot 100 hit "Wish I Knew You.”

The September Shows

Saturday, September 27

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

Featuring members of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Wilco, Guster, Bonnylight Horseman, Fruit Bats, Hiss Golden Messenger, and many more.

The idea of The September Shows is born of the history and friendship that many of these Artists share. In 2012 most of them came together to perform the inaugural The Complete Last Waltz. A song for song re-imagination of the legendary Band concert they performed at The Warfield Theater. That tradition continued for years at The Capitol Theatre until 2020. Missing the community and performance that had become akin to a musical family reunion, we decided to rekindle the spirit. With their own music. Experience a format more like the “Last Waltz” than anything. In that the house band will be constant, the featured Artists will come and go as they did in The Last Waltz.

Recorded in isolation, Wilson’s latest - The Harmony Codex - is his most fully realised work to date. Yet, the guys have never rested on their laurels as “jam band pioneers.” They average 100 shows per year, and regularly release vital new music, including the band’s latest album, Circle of Giants (ATO), its 13th release.

Relix & Mountain Gazette Present: Grateful Shred All Hallow's Eve

Friday, October 31

[Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 8:00pm]

After a meteoric rise from obscurity to a national touring band, Los Angeles-based Grateful Shred has made the most of its time in the spotlight. The lineup, featuring Dan Horne and Austin McCutchen alongside keyboardist Adam MacDougall woke the Grateful Dead cosmos with a unique laid-back harmony driven sound. Grateful Shred manage to channel that elusive Dead vibe: wide-open guitar tones, effortless three-part vocal harmonies, choogling beats, and yes, plenty of tripped out, Shredded solos. The look, the sound, the atmosphere. It’s uncanny. Far from being a historical re-enactment, Grateful Shred’s laissez faire vibe infuses the band with a gentle spirit, warmth, and (dare we say it) authenticity. From their killer merch game to their eminently watchable YouTube channel, they’re clearly having a rad time and spreading the love. Strangely enough, in a world overflowing with wax museum nostalgia and Deadly sentimentalism, we need the Shred, now more than ever.
