Humiditrak – Bluetooth Humidity, Temperature, and Impact Sensor

HumiditrakTM is a brand-new climate monitoring system designed to decrease environment-related damage to musical instruments with real time temperature and humidity updates via Bluetooth. By placing the small Humiditrak device in any case or musical instrument, real-time condition updates can be viewed from the system’s free smart phone application for hourly, daily and monthly data tracking. When Humiditrak detects that an instrument is in dangerous conditions, a push notification is sent to the player’s phone, allowing them to take action before damage occurs.

D’Addario Woodwinds has launched new brand-name products to extend their accessories line including Reed Guards, Practice Grip and All-Natural Cork Grease:

D’Addario’s Reed Guards are a stylish, effective way to keep reeds safe and secure. An innovation in protection, these are a convenient, affordable storage solution for students, educators, and artists. The grooved surfaces prevent reed warping, and the soft elastomer cover is designed to securely yet gently hold four reeds. Available in black, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Kaplan Solo Double Bass – D’Addario Orchestral Bass Strings

Kaplan’s Solo Double Bass set is specifically tailored for A-E-B-F# tuning, applying the industry-renowned manufacturing technology behind the Kaplan Bass set specifically for solo tuning. The strings are customized to bolster the projection and clarity of the instrument, essential for solo playing, while maintaining the bow response and tonal balance that is consistent across the Kaplan string line to allow bassists to have precise articulation and clarity without sacrificing volume or beauty of tone.
