Daniel Tashian follows his muse w/ Paul Kennerley, Karen Elson, Rita Wilson & more

Big Yellow Dog Music (BYDM) artist Daniel Tashian may have co-produced and co-written Kacey Musgraves’ new chart topping ’Star-Crossed’ album, but that’s just the latest of his incredible musical output in the last few years, which all reflect his disparate passions and his amazing skill at helping artists develop their sound.

Since winning two GRAMMYs in 2019 for co-producing Musgraves’ ‘Golden Hour,’ the last three years have been a whirlwind of music writing and making for Tashian.

 

Here’s what Tashian’s been working on that you *haven’t* heard yet:

* He is currently reviving the old school sounds of artists like The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly on a new songwriting collaboration with legendary Nashville songwriter and guitarist Paul Kennerley, Kennerley’s first full project in more than 20 years.

* He co-produced and co-wrote a new Karen Elson album with frequent collaborator Ian Fitchuck. 

* His ‘It’s A Snow Globe World’ Christmas EP of all new material, arriving later this year, features Rita Wilson, Karen Elson, Patty Griffin and Sarah Buxton.

 

Here’s what Tashian has accomplished in the last three years that you may have already heard:

* In 2020, Tashian co-wrote with 8x GRAMMY winner and 3x Academy Award winner Burt Bacharach for ‘Blue Umbrella,’ which was nominated for a Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album GRAMMY.

* He co-produced Brett Eldredge’s ’Sunday Drive’ album (2020) and Birdy’s ‘Young Heart’ album (2021).

* His inaugural children’s album (BYDM), ‘I Love Rainy Days’ (2019), which featured his three daughters, Tigerlily, Matilda and Tinkerbell, received a nomination for Best Children’s Music Album at the 62nd annual GRAMMY Awards.

* BYDM released Tashian's second children’s album, ‘Mr. Moonlight,’ in 2020, which won a National Parenting Product Award.
