Daniel Tashian, the award-winning songwriter and producer behind some of the most refreshing and innovative new sounds in modern music from artists like Kacey Musgraves, Demi Lovato, Leon Bridges and more, is releasing music of his own on September 23rd with ‘Night After Night’ (Big Yellow Dog Music). Today (9.2), he shares “Tumble and Fall,” the second offering from the forthcoming album.

"This one was written, like the rest of the album, with my dear friend Paul Kennerley," says Tashian. "He left me a message that had the first part of the song, and I was hooked right away."
“Tumble And Fall” is a beautiful ballad featuring layered acoustic guitars, each played by Tashian, and heartfelt lyrics that will resonate with anybody who has ever been head-over-heels in love. Tashian details waiting by the phone for a call, longing for the words to say and how the world can stop and start on a dime for the right person. “Tumble And Fall” follows ‘Night After Night’ co-writer and esteemed guitarist Paul Kennerley’s laws of songwriting - at least 6 guitars, only hard rhymes and no minor chords. These elements come together calmly in the midst of the storm of emotions that Tashian depicts.
Written entirely by Tashian and Kennerley, 'Night After Night’ was born out of casual jams that turned into what they call “songwriting seances,” during which they channeled the spirits of Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley and The Everly Brothers into the room. The result is one of the freshest and most immediate records in recent history.
AmericanaFest attendees can see Daniel at his official AmericanaFest showcase at the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sat., Sept. 17 at 12 PM. Tashian will make a rare stage appearance on Wed., Sept. 21 at The Basement in Downtown Nashville, where he will perform songs from the new album in his first headline show since 2018.
