2019 has been quite a year for Dido. The release of her acclaimed album Still On Mind in March quickly led to her becoming the best selling UK solo female artist of the year, an achievement that came as she embarked on her first tour in 15 years. Dido is set to release a special deluxe edition of Still On My Mindon November 15th (BMG).
On the heels of this release, Dido has also released a stunning brand new single, “Just Because”. Taken from the record, we see the “UK goddess of lite pop” (Pitchfork) fully immersed in her element while playing with the electronic flourish that has bolstered Still on My Mind. The album also features haunting acoustic versions of mega hits “Thank You” and “White Flag” and an additional brand new track titled “This Is Love.”
Dido calls “Just Because” “an uplifting track with a really simple thought: be yourself, don’t bow to peer pressure or be afraid to go out on a limb, mess up or do things your own way. Be proud of who you are. I spent a lot of my life trying to fit in and it never worked anyway. This is about that.”
Alongside these new releases, Dido is set to play a string of shows in the UK, including a set at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, following shows in South America and across mainland Europe.
