Dillon Carmichael Puts Acoustic Spin on "Son Of A," Out Today

Kicks off Headlining 'Son Of A Tour' with Home State Benefit Concert, Raising $13,000 for Kentucky Tornado Victims

Riser House Records' Dillon Carmichael puts a fresh spin on his current single, "Son Of A," in a rousing, acoustic rendition of the heartfelt tune, out today (1.28). Accompanied only by his guitar, the blue-collar troubadour's rich, buttery tone and impressive vocal chops are put on full display in the stripped-down ode to those who raised him.

Penned by Carmichael alongside Casey Beathard and Phil O'Donnell, and serving as the title track off his recently-released sophomore album (out 10.22 via Riser House Records), "Son Of A" is busy climbing the country radio charts, after debuting on Mediabase this past fall as the No.1 most-added single upon impact.

Taking this new music on the road, Carmichael kicked off his headlining 'Son Of A Tour," last Thursday (1.20) with a home state performance in Catlettsburg, KY. The following evening (1.21), the Kentucky native made a special stop in Nashville, where he turned his headline show into a benefit concert for KentuckyCare. Joined by a handful of artist friends, including Brent Cobb and fellow Kentuckian Rye Davis, the event raised $13,000 for those affected by the devastating tornadoes that recently ravaged his home state.
