Dirty Projectors’ ‘Lamp Lit Prose’ is out today on Domino and has been met with raves, including an effusive Critics Pick review from the NY Times deeming it “the band’s shiniest, catchiest set of songs yet.” To commemorate the release of their new record, Dirty Projectors are doing a very special 3-night run in Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago & New York. Playing at more intimate spaces is something they have always loved and rarely had the chance to do and they are thrilled for this opportunity. They’ll be playing songs from across their catalog and their new record, which you can hear on Spotify (smarturl.it/LampLitProse/Spotify), Apple Music (smarturl.it/LampLitProse/AppleMusic), or the streaming service/record store of your choice (smarturl.it/LampLitProse). Tickets will be on sale at dirtyprojectors.net.
‘Lamp Lit Prose’ was produced by Dave Longstreth at his studio Ivo Shandor in Los Angeles and features guest appearances from SYD, EMPRESS OF, AMBER MARK, ROSTAM, ROBIN PECKNOLD, and DEAR NORA, as well as longtime DPs’ rhythm section Nat Baldwin and Mike Johnson.
Dirty Projectors will perform a pop-up show this Saturday at Rough Trade Brooklyn at 2PM: Dave Longstreth will perform solo and will be signing copies of the new album.
The band also recently visited KCRW for Morning Becomes Eclectic and you can watch the entire session here: https://kcrw.co/2usqpMj
