In just a year since launching its debut series, Fresh Produce Media, the talent-driven audio entertainment company, has earned several of the podcast industry's top awards nominations, and it just won the Webby Award for "Podcast - Scripted (Fiction)" for the Jon Hamm-starring The Big Lie.
Created by John Mankiewicz, The Big Lie is a Hollywood-noir series starring Hamm, Kate Mara, Bradley Whiftford, John Slattery, Giancarlo Esposito, and more, which focuses on the true story of the film industry's only-ever Blacklisted movie, Salt of the Earth. The series also scored an Ambie nomination earlier this year for "Best Fiction Podcast," an additional Webby nomination for "Best Writing" in a podcast, and it is currently up for the Shorty Award for "Best Podcast Mini Series."
Origins, a music interview podcast series featuring Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, King Princess, Mickey Guyton, Tobe Nwigwe, and others, is currently up for a Shorty for "Best Arts/Culture Podcast," and received a Webby nomination for "Best Music" podcast.
And Fresh Produce's debut series, Punk in Translation, an audio-documentary series about the influence of Latin artists on punk music and subculture, which featured interviews with the likes of Joan Jett, John Doe of X, Downtown Boys’ Victoria Ruiz, and Dead Kennedy’s Jello Biafra, also won both a Latin Podcast Award, and an Ondas Award, the Spanish-speaking world's highest podcast honor. It also earned a Webby nomination for "Best Documentary" podcast.
