Fun Brings "Most Nights" Headlining Tour To The Marcus Amphitheater During Summerfest 2013

MILWAUKEE (March 11, 2013) – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the sixth major show slated for Summerfest 2013. FUN. will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Thursday, June 27. Support acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

FUN.’s album SOME NIGHTS, recently reached RIAA platinum certification status for sales in excess of one million. FUN. recently won two Grammys from the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The NYC-based band was among this year’s most-nominated artists, and took home two of the top four awards, “Song of the Year” for “We Are Young (Feat. Janelle Monáe)” and “Best New Artist.” 

FUN. capped their extraordinary year with the worldwide release of their own “iTUNES SESSION” EP. Recorded at the storied Capitol Records Studio in Los Angeles, the EP (available exclusively on the iTunes Store) pairs unique versions of SOME NIGHTS favorites like the latest single, “Carry On,” alongside a genuinely special cover of Van Morrison’s classic “Queen of the Slipstream.”

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 16 at Noon (12:00 pm) and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000 (live Ticketmaster Agent) or 1.866.448.7849 (“Ticketmaster Express” automated phone line). Patrons may also utilize “ticketfast” at Ticketmaster.com to print barcoded concert tickets from home. Convenience fees may be added to all purchases.

The FUN. Pre-sale will run Thursday, March 14 from Noon (12:00 pm) – Friday, March 15 at 10:00 pm CST or until pre-sale inventory has been exhausted. 
Summerfest 2013 will take place June 26 - 30 and July 2 - 7, from Noon until Midnight and will be closed Monday, 

July 1.
