This benefit concert is a celebration of Vaughan's life and legacy and will raise funds for The Houston Food Bank in honor of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Scott Sharrard and friends will play Vaughan's first album, Texas Flood, in its entirety, with Ryan "Shwizz" Liatsis, from the band Shwizz, and his trio opening with a classic blues set.
"Stevie Ray Vaughn's debut studio album "Texas Flood" was a watershed moment for guitar players, blues fanatics and old school rock and rollers," says Scott Sharrad. "This album dropped on a time in the 80's when most people had given up on the blues genre ever remerging as a popular form. SRV and his trio, along with the help of legendary record man John Hammond, reinvented the Texas Blues and Rock and Roll sound in one blistering, mostly live, studio date."

About Scott Sharrard:
Since the Fall of 2008, Scott Sharrard had been the touring guitarist for the Gregg Allman Band. He's been called "One of the best guitarists in the country" by Billboard and "the next Eric Clapton or Mike Bloomfield" by the Indianapolis Star Tribune. Gregg Allman, had high praise for the guitarist. "I know all about guitar players --I've seen the very best -- and Scott Sharrard is the perfect guitarist for my band. He understands that you don't need to play just for the sake of playing; Scott isn't one of those guys who thinks they're getting paid by the note. He never steps on the vocals, and leaves plenty of room for everyone else to do their thing, but when it's time to solo, Scott delivers, boy."
While most recently acting as Musical Director for Allman and recently recording his last record Southern Blood in Muscle Shoals, Scott has also been concentrating on the growth of his solo career while holding Gregg's legacy near and dear as a guiding light and point of everlasting inspiration. A new Scott Sharrard album, Saving Grace, has been recorded with a future release date to be announced soon. http://www.scottsharrard.com/
About Ryan "Shwizz" Liatsis:
Ryan John Liatsis was born and raised in the town of Nanuet, NY and came from a very musical family. He was introduced to the guitar at age 15 and took quite naturally too it. He quotes "I've never found playing the guitar to be a pain or a hassle which, luckily for me, is the opposite of how most beginners feel."
From age 17 to 18 Ryan studied privately under Martin Celay, a former professor at the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase. At age 22, after earning a BA in Television and Radio Production at William Patterson University, he began to pursue a career in teaching music while still performing and recording with several bands. It was around this time when Ryan's musical interests turned to the world of jazz and improvised music. At age 24 he studied under the skilled hand of guitarist Steve Khan, the son of legendary songwriter, Sammy Cahn.
Since then his composing and improvising skills have flourished, which opened the doors to more and more musical endeavors. Some notable ones have included sharing the stage with popular musicians such as Pedro Capo, Erik Lawrence (Levon Helm Band), Jeremy Wall (Spyro Gyra), and bands like Big Sam's Funky Nation, Kung Fu, Particle, Dopapod, Consider The Souce and many more. He has also performed at a plethora of prestigious venues including The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Webster Hall, The Bitter End and The Garage in NYC and the 2011 Catskill Chill Music Festival.
Ryan currently works as a teacher in Rockland & Westchester Counties, and regularly performs with his band SHWIZZ all over the northeast. He also frequents several local jams in Nyack, NY as well as playing locally with his jazz/fusion trio.

About The Capitol Theatre:
Designed by celebrated architect Thomas Lamb in 1926 and listed in The National Register of Historic Places, the Capitol is located 30 miles from NYC, accessible by I-95 and only one block from the Port Chester Metro North train station. The 2,000-capacity theater, known as "the original rock palace,' showcased rock legends such as Black Sabbath, Chuck Berry, David Bowie, Derek and the Dominos, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones. Jerry Garcia once called it his favorite venue, claiming "See, there's only two theaters, man... that are set up pretty groovy all around for music and for smooth stage changes, good lighting and all that - the Fillmore and The Capitol Theatre. And those are the only two in the whole country."
In 2012, the Capitol Theatre underwent a transformative renovation under the guidance of entrepreneur Peter Shapiro (Brooklyn Bowl, Lockn' Festival, the "Fare Thee Well" Grateful Dead 50th Anniversary stadium shows, music magazine Relix, FANS). Since then, The Capitol has hosted many of music's most prominent performers including Bob Dylan, Phil Lesh, Ringo Starr, Ryan Adams, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg, The Strokes, Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, and many more. The Capitol has also welcomed comedians like Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer. The New York Times raves: "A rock theater that looks and sounds as good as the Capitol is something to celebrate." Billboard agrees: "The lavishly decorated theater -- filled with mirrors, chandeliers and painstakingly restored detail -- looks absolutely stunning, and sounds even better."
