Halftime From Nuketown: contradash To Perform At Toronto Ultra Tournament

Toronto Ultra to host final $100K Call of Duty tournament of 2020
 

December 21, 2020 (Toronto, ON) – As part of Toronto Ultra’s $100K Payout Warzone Tournament, and in partnership with Universal Music Canada, 22-year old recording artist and songwriter, Contradash is performing at a virtual concert. The pre-recorded two-song music performance is being billed as a unique opportunity to merge both gaming and music and introduce the up-and-coming artist to the global Call of Duty audience.

This collaboration will hype up the online crowd at halftime of the final Warzone tournament of 2020. Contradash is the latest in a line of singer-rappers who are quickly finding success at the intersection of alternative, pop, hip-hop and rock. The performance will include two of his latest tracks entitled, "White Lie" and "Blocked," and is the first in a brand new Toronto Ultra Artist Spotlight Series, an extension of their partnership with Universal Music Canada, bringing gaming audiences closer to up-and-coming musical talent with behind the scene content, prizes, concerts and much more.

 

 

The Warzone holiday tournament is a partnership between Activision Blizzard, the Call of Duty League and Toronto Ultra with a $100K (USD) payout. The action-packed Call of Duty tournament is by invite only and will bring together 30 teams (three players per team) featuring the top pro-players and streamers to face off in a one-day tournament.

  • Date: Tuesday December 22nd, 2020
  • Time: Tournament begins at 1pm (EST); Halftime concert starts at 5pm (EST)
  • Format: Two rounds (1st round lasts approx. 4hrs; 2nd round lasts approx. 2.5 hrs.). The top 12 teams from the first-round advance to the second

This will be the last Call of Duty Warzone tournament of 2020. Notable player/talent confirmations: VikkstarTommeyRatedLEGIQN, Clint “Maven” Evans, Joe “Merk” Deluca, Miles the Ross, and Jess Brohard.

The broadcast of the concert will air exclusively on the Call of Duty League's YouTube channel. The entire tournament will air simultaneously on the Call of Duty's Twitch channel, the Call of Duty League's YouTube channel, and the Toronto Ultra's YouTube channel. The Toronto Ultra broadcast will be the only place to view a live leaderboard, showcasing the standings across all the teams in the tournament.
