Homegrown: Zac Brown Band Opens Next Friday, July 22, 2016 at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

NASHVILLE, Tenn., – July 15, 2016 – The new exhibition Homegrown: Zac Brown Band will open Friday, July 22, at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Running through June 18, 2017, the career-spanning exhibition will explore Zac Brown Band’s rise to fame through stage wear, guitars, song manuscripts, photos and more from the band’s personal collection.  

Exhibition highlights include:

Custom-designed conga drum used by percussionist Daniel de los Reyes in the music video for “Jump Right In.” Reyes modeled the drum on one used by his father, renowned Cuban percussionist Walfredo de los Reyes III
Three of John Driskell Hopkins’s Modulus Graphite bass guitars, each named for one of his daughters
Taylor NS prototype acoustic-electric guitar, made for Brown in 2010
Jimmy De Martini’s Knilling Bucharest violin
Clay Cook’s Gibson Signature Pete Townsend SG electric guitar
Custom-painted Yamaha electric guitar with skeleton motifs, used by Coy Bowles
Jackets designed by Manuel for Zac Brown Band performance, with Dave Grohl, of “Day for the Dead,” at the 2013 CMA Awards
Top hat worn by Brown on the cover of the band’s 2015 album, Jekyll + Hyde
Jewelry and clothing designed by Zac Brown’s wife, Shelly, including costumes worn by actress Jaime Murray in the band’s 2012 video for "Goodbye in Her Eyes"

Formed in Atlanta in 2002, Zac Brown Band scored their first hit in 2008 with "Chicken Fried," and have continued to break new ground. The band’s lineup includes Zac Brown (lead vocals/guitar/piano/bass/banjo), Jimmy De Martini (violin/vocals), John Driskell Hopkins (banjo/guitar/vocals), Coy Bowles (guitar/keys/banjo/vocals), Clay Cook (guitar/keys/mandolin/vocals), Chris Fryar (drums/vocals), Daniel de los Reyes (percussion) and Matt Mangano (bass/vocals).

Known widely for their musicianship, Zac Brown Band have earned critical praise as "one of modern country's most exciting acts" (Rolling Stone) for their live shows. They have showcased their diverse musical tastes through collaborative performances with Gregg Allman, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl, Alan Jackson, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor, among many others.
