Hot Sugar To Debut New, Immersive Live Show For Associative Music Album ‘God’s Hand’ (Break World) A

Hot Sugar (nee Nick Koenig) will debut his never-before-seen live show for 'God's Hand' (Feb. 24 / Break World Records), his new album, at Rough Trade on Feb. 22 and Santos Party House on Feb. 23. 'God's Hand' is a culmination of Koenig's long exploration of "associative music," a production style using field recordings to create samples and build songs. His new live show syncs the songs of 'God's Hand' with colored illuminating crystals and striking CGI-infused visuals, creating a fully immersive experience.

Koenig's production style has recently been featured in Wired and Vice Noisey just previewed the video game he created to tease the new album. Both the Wall Street Journal and Billboard have hailed his contributions to Comedy Central's 'Broad City,' and his work in associative music is the subject of a new documentary, executive produced by 'Eastbound & Down' creators Danny McBride and Jody Hill, called "Hot Sugar's Cold World." The film is set to make its World Premiere at SXSW Film Festival this March and finds Koenig collaborating with luminaries including Jim Jarmusch and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
