Houston Trio Khruangbin’s Austin City Limits Performance To Air On November 6th

Tonight Band Will Wrap Their Three-Night, Sold-Out Run At Los Angeles’ Iconic Greek Theatre

MORDECHAI REMIXES VINYL OUT NOW

Today, Khruangbin, the Houston, Texas trio who's known for their marriage of sounds from across the world - including reggae dub, surf-rock, Southeast Asian funk, and Middle Eastern soul - announce their national TV debut on Austin City Limits airing this Saturday, November 6th. Watch live on your local PBS station (schedules here: https://acltv.com/watch/tv-schedule/) or stream later at pbs.org/austincitylimits

Performing songs from their otherworldly discography, Khruangbin delivered a gorgeous chronological performance. Kicking off the set with a run of three tracks from their 2014 EP, “The Infamous Bill,” a release marked by the trio’s early obsession with ‘60s funk from Thailand, the band carried on to cater to some fan favorites with songs like “People Everywhere (Still Alive)” & “White Gloves” from their debut album The Universe Smiles Upon You. The band has a kind of musical conversation on stage, which came alive for their performance of “Pelota” & “Shida,” standouts from 2020’s Mordechai and as the Austin American Statesman says, “led listeners on a cinematic journey through sound defined by expansive vision and intuitive execution.”

The atmospheric and eccentric group, which has been on countless global tours and graced nearly every major festival stage in the world, is a live force to be reckoned with. Khruangbin sold out London's iconic Alexandra Palace, performed two headlining sold-out shows at Red Rocks in September, has two upcoming headlining shows at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall in early 2022, and tonight will wrap their three-night, sold-out run at Los Angeles’ iconic Greek Theatre. The band will return to Texas in December for a slew of highly anticipated and very special shows in Dallas, San Antonio, and will play their hometown’s Houston’s 713 Music Hall on New Year’s Eve, a perfect finish to a new year of touring.

Nearly all of the tour dates have sold out and this run has become their most monumental tour to date with performances at Outside Lands, Firefly Festival, III Points, Newport Jazz Fest, and more. Support for the tour includes an impressive array of curated artists including Nick Hakim, Kadhja Bonet, Kikagaku Moyo, Robert Ellis, Kelly Doyle, Aidan Kennedy, Kornbread, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, Vleux Farka Toure and Brijean. See below for the rest of the band’s 2021-2022 dates.
