Today, Kentucky-born singer-songwriter and visual artist Hunter Flynn announces his upcoming “Back to My Roots” Tour, a 36-show run celebrating his Appalachian heritage and the stories, people, and places that have shaped his music.

The tour will bring Flynn’s distinct blend of folk, country, rock, and soul to audiences throughout the South and beyond, beginning October 1st in Newport, KY. Tickets to the “Back to My Roots” Tour will be available via presale beginning Tuesday, August 18 at 10am local time. General on-sale begins on Wednesday, August 19 at 10am local time.

The “Back to My Roots Tour” takes its name from Flynn’s deep connection to Appalachian culture and his commitment to telling stories rooted in the region he calls home. Raised in Pulaski County, Kentucky, Flynn has built his career around emotional honesty, vulnerability, and a sound he calls Appalachian Soul Music. His music ranges from themes of love and loss, to captivating ballads, all the way to psychedelic experiences fueled by euphoria.

The tour follows a period of continued growth for Flynn, whose work has taken him to prominent venues and festivals throughout the United States and Europe. In 2023, he was named the Featured Artist at the prestigious Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, Kentucky, and in 2025 was selected as an Artist in Residence at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame — an honor recognizing his growing impact within Kentucky’s music community.

Flynn’s music career began in earnest following a life-altering car accident in early 2022, which led him to fully embrace his creative passions. His debut EP, Appalachian Soul, arrived in May 2023 and quickly gained attention for its emotional depth and stripped-back sincerity. Flynn is set to release his highly anticipated debut album later this year.

As a live performer, Flynn has shared stages with artists including Zach Top, Wyatt Flores, Jamie Johnson, Josh Meloy, and more. He continues to use his platform to uplift emerging voices and foster community throughout the Appalachian arts scene.
