Ian McLagan On Passing Notes w/ Booker T, Reuniting w/ The Faces

USA Today has the premiere of Ian McLagan's new album 'United States' (6/17, Yep Roc). Listen to the "soulful, unbridled" record, here.

In addition to his acclaimed solo career, Mac played keys for the Small Faces, Faces, and Rolling Stones, and he's performed with everyone from Chuck Berry and Bob Dylan to Jackson Browne and Bruce Springsteen. But one of his favorite memories involves swapping notes with his hero, Booker T.  He talks to Rick Moody about that, a possible 2015 Faces reunion and much more in this Salon Q&A: http://shorefi.re/1pWgkQN

Salon says 'United States' "has a real soul feel to it, with the clarity of great recordings from the '70s" on its "confident, virtuosic, and surpassingly moving" songs.
