This morning (11.11), Nashville-based nonprofit CreatiVets joined Carson Daly on NBC's TODAY Show for a special Veterans Day segment, which included a moving conversation with the organization's founder, Richard Casper, as he shared his personal story of his time in the service and revealed the details behind what inspired him to launch CreatiVets.

The segment also gave an inside peek into one of the organization's lauded songwriting programs, as it chronicled a recent writing session with Marine Veteran Lloyd Howard Jr. alongside multi-platinum selling hitmaker Justin Moore and award-winning songwriter Casey Beathard backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.
