Nashville-based songwriter and Big Yellow Dog Music artist Jeremy Lister is known for his “brassy mid-century swing” (KUTX) sound that harks back to old-school crooners. On his ‘Happy Holidays, Everyone’ album released last month, Lister channels all of that with a Sinatra-style twist.
Today (12.15), the album’s “Christmas in Rio” is featured as the KUTX Song of the Day. Listen to the song’s "sunny Southern-Hemispheric swagger," here: kutx.org/song-of-the-day/jeremy-lister-christmas-in-rio
Listeners may have seen Lister compete on NBC’s The Sing Off, and throughout his career he has worked with artists like Alison Krauss, Amy Grant, Meghan Trainor and more. He is currently on tour with his a cappella group Street Corner Symphony and will perform the full ‘Happy Holidays, Everyone’ album at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley venue on Thurs., Dec. 23rd.
