Bob Weir will be live streaming his show from fabled The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY this Sunday night starting at 8PM ET on nugs.tv. One of only nine stops on The Campfire Tour, Sunday night will capture Weir performing songs from his first solo album in over 10 years, Blue Mountain, backed by Bryan Devendorf, Scott Devendorf, Josh Kaufman along with longtime collaborators Steve Kimock and Jon Shaw.
The Campfire Tour kicked off this past Friday in Marin County and immediately captivated fans with intimate delivery of both Blue Mountain material as well as new arrangements of chestnuts from the Grateful Dead songbook and choice covers. The free live stream of the show will be hosted on nugs.tv, the home to this past summer's popular Dead & Company streams featuring Weir joined by Grateful Dead bandmates Billy Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart along with John Mayer on guitar and vocals.
"We wanted to get the music from The Campfire Tour out there and we knew that a free live stream from The Capitol Theatre would be the perfect opportunity," says nugs.net founder and CEO Brad Serling. "With over 100 live streams from The Capitol Theatre in the past few years on nugs.tv, there's no better venue for us to bring this tour to the world," Serling continues.
"It's Bobby's birthday so it's going to be a big one," says Capitol Theatre owner Peter Shapiro. "Makes sense to share a special night like this with as many people as possible, and a free webcast on Nugs is a pretty great way to do that, so we are really excited."
