Joshua Radin opens his heart on his emotional new album 'Onward and Sideways,' set for release on January 6, 2015 on Glass Bead Music. Written over the course of a year, mainly from a hotel bedroom in his girlfriend's hometown of Stockholm, Radin returns to his roots, penning intimate, expressive songs that chronicle a real-time journey from adoration to true love.
Known for his precise, gentle vocals and penchant for vivid songwriting, the 13-track LP's dynamic production shines from the first track, with subdued beating of toms providing the foundation for his blues-tinged opener "We'll Keep Running Forever," leading into the country guitars and hand-claps of "Belong" and "Angels". Radin's passionate vocals, and guitar strumming create a vibe intimate and robust, with strings and pianos tastefully layered from track to track, and his songwriting reaching its poetic apex on the closing track "My Baby." The harmonic lead single "Beautiful Day" features piano accents, subtle jazz brushes, and a standout supporting vocal performance from Radin's former touring mate Sheryl Crow.

Radin will take his collection of love songs on his 20+ date tour starting on February 5, 2015, where he'll partner with his favorite charity Little Kids Rock, a national non-profit committed to revitalizing music education in under-served public schools across the country. Radin will invite kids onstage with him to join in playing "Beautiful Day" in select cities, as well as sell handmade bracelets with his most inspiring lyrics, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the charity.
