Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band’s The Traveler is out today on Concord Records. A hard-charging collection of some of the most distinctive music of Kenny Wayne’s storied career, it includes several new originals plus fresh takes on Buffalo Springfield’s “Mr. Soul” and Joe Walsh’s “Turn To Stone,” and was recorded in Los Angeles during a short break in their relentless touring schedule. The album is currently #1 on iTunes’ Blues chart and in the Top 10 overall, and is being met with raves. Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will also be touring from June-August, including several co-headline shows with Buddy Guy. Full itinerary is below.

Today the album’s first official music video has also been released - watch “Woman Like You” here: https://found.ee/KWSB_WomanYT

Shepherd and vocalist Noah Hunt also recently performed a live session for Paste Magazine and sat down for an intimate Q&A in front of a live audience in NYC last week as part of the Backstory Events series, streamed by Guitar World.

The Traveler features Kenny, vocalist Noah Hunt, drummer Chris “Whipper” Layton, bassist Kevin McCormick, and keyboardists Jimmy McGorman and Joe Krown. It was co-produced by Shepherd and Marshall Altman.

The Traveler continues Shepherd’s trajectory of quality. The diversity in his musical approach, songwriting consistency, organic production, and passionate performances place it over and above anything else in his catalog to date."

– AllMusic, 4 out of 5 stars
