Today (9.16), one of Nashville’s hottest newcomers, Lauren Weintraub, makes a heartbreaking return to her hometown with "Boston," a song co-written with Music City hitmaker Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift). With her signature, genre-bending style tapping into everything from the raw and real comfort of Lori McKenna to the pop-driven, evocative nature of Taylor Swift, the song's lyrics and music video find the Boston native on a tour of her hometown, detailing all the special things she and her former flame could have experienced together had their love story not ended.

"This song is so special to me because it's the story of my very first heartbreak, while also being a love letter to my hometown," says Weintraub. "I grew up in Boston and moved to Nashville at 18-years-old to chase my dreams. Just two weeks after my move, I met a boy. I couldn't wait to bring him back home, introduce him to my parents, take him to a Red Sox game — the whole nine yards. Unfortunately, two days before that trip, we broke up. I wrote this song about the memories I had anticipated we would make together, but never got the chance to do so.”
