Nashville-based storyteller Leah Nobel interviewed 100 diverse people in search of finding life’s everyday joys, fears, triumphs, priories, highs, lows and overall emotion. The result is a Pete Stewart-produced (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis), empathy-driven 10-track debut LP titled 'Running In Borrowed Shoes,’ available now via Big Yellow Dog Music.
“We are more alike than we think,” says Nobel, and that motto is the common theme woven in-and-out of emotions that find simplicity and human understanding within pop-influenced production.
Earlier today (2.8), album tracks landed on Spotify's New Music Friday, Soft Pop Hits, New Indie & Alt, New Music Friday UK, New Music Friday Turkey and New Music Friday Iceland playlists.
Additionally, Nobel has recently been featured on Amazon’s Brand New Music and “Popfiltr’s New Pop” playlists. Her songs have also been featured on Apple iPhone X commercials, Grey’s Anatomy, Toyota commercials, Valspar Paint commercials, DSW commercials, ABC’s Nashville and more.
Album track “Coffee, Sunday, NYT” has garnered more than one million streams on Spotify and can be heard here: https://youtu.be/1NNGgacgxOI
We invite you to experience this journey of human emotion yourself. Tune-in to NPR Weekend Edition this Sunday, February 10, to hear Nobel discuss ‘Running In Borrowed Shoes’ with host Lulu Garcia-Navarro (Schedule subject to change. Check local listings). For more on Nobel, visit leahnobel.com.
